Dear Just 5 Family,

In the face of unprecedented adversity, the strength of our community is truly tested. This past month, the generosity of our donors once again shone brightly as Just 5 reached out to a family in dire need of assistance. With your unwavering support, we were able to provide a beacon of hope to a family in the midst of overwhelming hardship.

For the month of September, Just 5 reached out to a courageous parent with five children, the youngest being just a teenager, who had bravely escaped an abusive spouse and household. For years, they endured unimaginable suffering, but they have now found liberation from the threat of physical and emotional abuse. The parent has been facing health challenges, and so much of the burden has fallen on the shoulders of the eldest sibling, who became the family's breadwinner. This sibling is struggling immensely to keep the household afloat. Additionally, with the household taking an increasingly severe physical and mental toll on the youngest sibling, this sibling needed to move out for the opportunity to pursue a better education and a healthier life for themselves. Just 5 donated $5,000 to help ease this family’s struggles, providing them with a glimmer of hope in their darkest hours.

It is in these trying times we must rally together as a community and a nation the most. Your support has made this act of kindness possible, and we are immensely grateful.
