Dear Just 5 Family,
We hope this message finds you well and filled with the same spirit of generosity and kindness that you've continuously shown through your support. For the month of February & March, we had the opportunity to extend our warmth to the following cases whose stories both moved and inspired us.
Our beneficiary for February is a struggling family who is navigating the intricate balance of life with a disabled daughter. This resilient family, grappling with the challenges of caring for their beloved child, reached out to us in their time of need. Having already been living paycheck to paycheck for recent years their immediate requirement involved the purchasing of a lifting device to facilitate the daily care and bathing of their daughter. Through your incredible support, we were able to contribute $5,000 to aid this family in their quest to enhance the quality of life for their disabled daughter and the family. Your generosity continues to make a meaningful impact, fostering a sense of belonging and support within our community.
Our beneficiary for March was a hardworking waitress, who in November of 2023, found her life turned upside down by an unexpected health crisis. Despite her diligence and commitment to her job, she was suddenly faced with spontaneous respiratory failure, a serious condition that required immediate hospitalization. This condition was a direct result of her Lupus, an autoimmune disease that she battles daily. After spending the initial week of December in the hospital, she has since been on disability leave, navigating the challenges of recovery outside the work environment. The road to recovery has been anything but easy as our recipient has been grappling with uncertainty, not knowing when she will be able to return to work or how long her disability benefits will last. Currently, her doctors have approved her disability leave through April, but the future beyond that remains uncertain. In light of her pressing needs and the challenges ahead, we directed $1,000 towards alleviating some of her financial pressures.
