Dear Just 5 Family,

For the month of July, we were presented with the case of a 50-year-old woman who has been fighting a relentless battle that no one ever wishes to confront - stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. Ten years ago, she received the shocking diagnosis that would forever change the course of her life. However, despite the initial tribulations, she had defied the odds and entered remission. Unfortunately, over the past few years, her scans were not as promising as the cancer had shown signs of spreading to her bones and internal organs. Although she still serves as a beacon of hope and a symbol of unwavering courage, the once-clear path to recovery has become a turbulent journey through the unknown.

She now undergoes a weekly grueling chemotherapy regimen that demands her strength, resilience, and determination. It is a relentless battle, one that has left her physically unable to perform even the simplest of house chores. In the midst of her struggle, our beneficiary found solace and unwavering support from her retired parents. However, their financial support is limited given that they themselves live on modest income.

As the weeks go by, the burden of disease continues to weigh heavily on her, causing her to live in a constant state of anxiety and fear. The accumulating chemotherapy medications, medical bills and mental strain have woven a dark tapestry around her life. It was during this time that Just 5 nonprofit, with the generous help of our donors, came to help. With our donation of $3,000, we hope it can serve as a lifeline that will help our recipient cope with the overwhelming burden she faces. We hope our help will temporarily alleviate the financial strain and provide a glimmer of hope amidst the darkness.
